New Story Leadership Alumni Retreat in Geneva
Ten Palestinian and Israeli New Story Leadership alumni spent a week together in Geneva developing the Phoenix Plan—a joint vision for Gaza’s reconstruction and a different political future.
In March 2025, Dorit Segal, Tuly Flint, and Ahmed Abu Libdeh—Israeli and Palestinian mental-health professionals and co-founders of EMDR 4 Peace, a new NGO supported by B8 of Hope—were in Geneva participating in the Geneva International Film Festival and Forum on Human Rights (FIFDH). In that context, they were invited to lead a workshop on trauma titled “Israel-Palestine: Engaging in Dialogue.”
The workshop focused on their work addressing trauma within Israeli and Palestinian communities. Dorit, Tuly, and Ahmed created a safe space for open dialogue, enabling participants to share emotions and lived experiences while exploring therapeutic approaches to individual and collective trauma. Several members of B8 of Hope’s staff and board participated in this workshop.
