Taking the Third Narrative into Schools: Amira and Evelyn in Switzerland

During a multi-day visit to Switzerland, B8 of Hope had the privilege of bringing Amira Mohammed and Evelyn Uzan from Unapologetic: The Third Narrative into several Swiss schools. Amira, the podcast’s Palestinian co-host, and Evelyn, its Israeli producer, met students at Institut Le Rosey and Institut Sainte-Marcelline Lycée français de Lausanne-Valmont, and were interviewed by the student newspaper at the International School of Geneva’s La Châtaigneraie campus.

Unapologetic: The Third Narrative, which B8 of Hope supports, creates space for a different kind of conversation about Israel and Palestine—one that refuses both polarization and erasure, while allowing people to speak honestly from their own identities and experiences. Amira and Evelyn brought that spirit directly into the classroom, engaging students in open and often challenging discussions about narrative, identity, responsibility, and the ways polarization shapes how we understand the conflict.

Across the week, they reached more than 130 young people. These were not conversations designed to provide simple answers. They invited students to question, reflect, and remain present with complexity—to think more critically about the stories they encounter and the responsibility each of us carries in how we listen, speak, and respond. At a time when young people are so often presented with competing certainties, creating space for more thoughtful and honest engagement felt both urgent and deeply hopeful.
