EMDR 4 Peace

Healing trauma as a path toward dignity, trust, and reconciliation.

EMDR 4 Peace is a joint Israeli-Palestinian community of EMDR therapists working across conflict-affected communities.

Their work begins with a reality often carried quietly: trauma shapes how people live, relate, remember, and imagine the future. By bringing Jewish and Arab mental-health professionals into shared training, cooperation, and therapeutic work, EMDR 4 Peace supports healing within communities while also building professional trust across lines of division.

Their Role in Civil Society

EMDR 4 Peace plays an essential role in the Palestinian and Israeli civil society ecosystem by focusing on trauma healing as part of peacebuilding.

In a place marked by violence, fear, grief, and accumulated psychological harm, their work recognizes that reconciliation is not only political or social. It is also emotional, relational, and embodied. By helping therapists learn together and serve their own communities, EMDR 4 Peace strengthens resilience while creating spaces of professional solidarity and human connection.

Mission

EMDR 4 Peace is a joint Israeli-Palestinian community of EMDR therapists committed to healing trauma, restoring dignity, and promoting reconciliation across conflict-affected communities.

Through shared training, cooperation, and direct therapeutic work, EMDR 4 Peace brings together Jewish and Arab mental-health professionals who learn together, treat people in their own communities, and use the healing power of therapy to sow seeds of trust, resilience, and peaceful coexistence.
