Advancing A Land for All’s Vision in Morocco

In the summer of 2025, Mehra and David Rimer traveled to Morocco with May Pundak and Roula Hardal, the Israeli and Palestinian co-executive directors of B8 of Hope grantee A Land for All. The meetings were designed to introduce the movement’s political vision to influential stakeholders with the potential to support it at a diplomatic level.

A Land for All begins from the understanding that Palestinians and Israeli Jews are deeply connected to the same homeland and that lasting peace cannot be built through separation alone. It proposes two independent states, Israel and Palestine, within a shared framework that respects both peoples’ equal individual and national rights and develops practical forms of cooperation, power-sharing, and shared interest.

The details of the Morocco discussions remain confidential, but the meetings were both strategic and deeply encouraging. They gave May and Roula an opportunity to place their ideas before people able to engage with them seriously, while also creating space to reflect on the role of political imagination and partnership during a period of prolonged conflict. The visit was made possible by a B8 of Hope donor whose sponsorship and connections opened these doors.

At a moment when the political horizon can feel almost impossibly narrow, creating room for a carefully developed Palestinian–Israeli vision to be heard is itself meaningful. Change begins with people willing to imagine beyond the current reality—and with others willing to bring those ideas into places where they may one day help shape what becomes possible.
